Dining is seventh heaven at Bali’s sexy little Italian bistro, Settimo Cielo.

The sexy little bistro, Settimo Cielo, may be off the beaten track, but it has won a legion of fans. Located at the front of the stylish designer villa complex, The Layar, in Seminyak, it is a hot favourite with Bali diners.

Settimo Cielo

Byron Bay chef, Nicholas Lazzaroni shows off his roots at Settimo Cielo when he created this menu, and with Italian bosses, he had a tough audience to start with. He wowed them with some of his own dishes including home made pastas, authentic pizzas, seafood grills, slow braises and seductive desserts.

The sexy Italian bistro serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner and a popular grazing menu at lunch, when Rp225,000 will buy all you can eat from a fabulous selection of dishes. This is your chance to surf the menu and try a bit of everything.

Delicious Pappardelle

The menu travels the boot, with some great starters including raw and cured selections, delicious bruschetta, arancini and favourites like the egg yolk ravioli stuffed with spinach and ricotta.

Salads are also creative, like the grilled baby octopus with potatoes basking in a garlicky lemon vinaigrette, confit tuna or warm vegetables with soft goat’s cheese.

Pastas, risotto and pizzas are home-made and offer a range of delicious toppings while mains travel from meltingly tender lamb shanks to a traditional Milanese and a great range of freshly caught seafood.

Nicholas leaves his legacy imprinted on the DNA here with his legendary sweet tooth showing up in delicious desserts. It’s hard to pick a favourite, so order a tasting plate; sharp lemon tart on a buttery base, real old-fashioned tiramisu, a warm baked chocolate mousse, a crisp apple tart with a crunchy coconut topping and the salted caramel semifreddo. Really, could you choose?

Settimo Cielo also offers a great international wine list and affordable imported wines by the glass, in addition to some fresh takes on classic cocktails.
