Sure we all miss showing up at Ling-Lings and enjoying the atmosphere. The good news is Tuesday taco nights and Funky Fridays are back on the menu as they serve up our favourite treat of the week. Wine-lovers now get a bonus as wine by the glass starts at just 30K for locals and 60K for imported wine. Located in the heart of Seminyak, Ling- Ling’s offers contemporary Asian fusion inspired by Japanese & Korean street food. Their famous Korean-style tacos come in four flavours including mahi mahi, jackfruit, beef bulgogi and Korean fried chicken. Stock up on menu favourites like their Chicken teriyaki, cheeseburger spring rolls (oh yes!), sushi and sashimi platters and lots more. It’s vibrant, funky and delicious. Add some of their famous fruit-filled cocktails or a budget busting glass of wine to make a night of it.LingLings is also delivering so if staying home is your thing, order away.

Mauri At Home
Mauri, the designer Italian on Jl Petitenget is currently the “IT” place for special occasions with a menu filled with indulgence by Chef Maurizio Bombini. Now open for incredible dinners and luxurious Sunday brunches. A stunning tasting menu can be ordered up at home for Rp360K per person including a video to guide you in plating your incredible restaurant-quality dinner. There is a full vegetarian menu available as well.
Make sure to set the table with care and add some candlelight to recreate this incredible dining experience at home, believe me you’ll appreciate the care and time it takes to plate these gorgeous meals a lot more once you’ve tried it yourself. A la carte items includes his masterful pasta and sauces from a heady lamb ragout with canneloni, polpo octopus ragout and a delicious ravioli melanzane. Delicious seafood, beautiful crafted vegetarian dishes and prime wagyu beef is on the menu along with an indulgent wagyu burger with foie gras. This is a menu worth dressing up for until you can dine out in style at the restaurant once it reopens. Psst, Mauri is now open for weekend brunches, lunch and dinner service by reservation.

Sushimi
We’re no longer missing the line-up on a Friday night for Sushimi’s budget-busting 20K sushi, and now they are extending it to Wednesday as well. They’ve just served their one millionth sushi plate at this Seminyak favourite. Fast, fresh and fabulous sushi and sashimi is what put Sushimi, Bali’s favourite sushi train, on Trip Advisor’s most-wanted list and now you can get it delivered to your door. They’ve always got something tricky up their sleeves and their new platter boxes are the perfect way to feed the family. Choose from their mixed sushi and sashimi boxes, a vegetarian version, or stock up on delicious a la carte favourites like the Chicken Teriyaki or Pork Tonkatsu. Or just head to Sushimi any time from 10am and hand pick your favourite sushi.

Warung Nasi Bali Bu Ketut Nari
We’re sure there are some to rival but in our minds Bu Ketut has it down! We’ve been frequenting this gem of a warung for over 5 years (sometimes daily!) and not once has it failed us. Traditional Balinese style, select from behind the glass and Bu Ketut will dish it up for you dine in or take out (bungkus). A fave with locals and expats you have to get in early as you’ll be pressed to find anything left in the cabinet after 2pm. Served with a bowl of chicken and veggie clear soup you can always be guaranteed that you won’t be let down by the flavours.
Tips: The Nikkita special – White nasi, pork satay, tasty chicken breast, half boiled egg, sayur or veg (whichever is available), roasted nuts and sambal

Cafe Seminyak
The popular roadside cafe outside of Bintang Supermarket remains a burned out shell for now but the French owner wasted no time taking over a location in Jl Baraban and has hired a new Executive Chef, Arief Wicaksono ( he’s worked for 5-star resorts and at Metis Restaurant as well). The new cafe site is open for business as well as offering deliveries and takeaways. Check out their daily offering of gourmet Indonesian food at just Rp49K. A French country menu is also available on line, so order up and enjoy Chef-driven food at cafe prices.
Tips: Chef Arief is turning out some of the best sate we’ve tried and their nasi goreng has lips tingling all over Seminyak.

Boy ‘N’ Cow
Bali’s first Meat Boutique hit the Seminyak food scene in September 2017 and they are offering some great steak and wine promos right now, so if you haven’t tried, now is the time. From delicious dry-aged rib eye to melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef, Bali’s number one steakhouse has launched its meat shop and butchery services so you can enjoy prime steak quality at home. They also offer homemade signature dry-aged beef sausages and burgers that will have you reaching for the napkins. So, whether it’s a small family dinner, special occasion, large gathering or a BBQ with friends, they’ve got you covered.
Tips: Dry-aged steaks come with their signature seasoning while the burgers come with their secret signature sauce.

Corner House
Corner House has remained open throughout, one of the very few in Seminyak, and they are killing it with their 49K breakfast specials, their incredible seafood brunches and nightly specials ranging from 2-4-1 pizzas, chicken parmie nights and ‘between the buns’ a night of burgers and gourmet sandwiches. For those who don’t fancy eating out the menu is also available for takeaway. Order up their amazing chicken parmies, fill up on the delicious sliders, enjoy breakfast delivered to your door or get a pizza loaded up with Aussie-style topping. The entire menu is available for takeaway and weekly specials are on offer. Stay tuned for the opening of their upstairs bar, Famous and singles nights, Tinderella, a great place to meet friends and strangers, open this September.
Tips: Every Monday from 1pm-9pm order a pizza and get one free. Seafood baskets on Sunday are just 100K each and they are overflowing with delivious, fresh seafood.

Apart from pizza, Indian curies have to be one of the most popular takeaways. Queen’s Tandoor is Bali’s oldest Indian restaurant and still one of the best. Dining in is now set up from Thursday to Sunday with all the Covid guidelines in place and once inside the menu features all your classic Indian favourites. The best thing about Fat Mermaid is the variety. They’ve done a good job creating a menu that appeals to a wide audience and ensuring the quality is excellent across the board. Sprout Café
Sprout Café, Berawa is based on a nutrition conscious, holistic approach and focused on fresh, wholesome food, impeccable coffee and sustainability with a relaxed modern café vibe. The coffee is roasted here in Bali with both South American and Indonesian beans, to go perfectly with their in-house baked goodies (the banana bread is delicious). Located in the heart of Canggu, Mason’s is all about the quality of their produce which is proven in their delivery. Mason is all about top quality meats, cheeses, dips and veggies for a side. Now open daily, they have cleverly designed a delicious takeaway menu created by their chefs that includes a slow cooked lasagne, two amazing cook at home pies – chicken and beef and a lentil moussaka for the veggies. Meals can be delivered frozen and cooked at home or delivered hot and ready-to-eat. Add some of their delicious sides to make a smashing meal of it.

Tom Kah Warung
Tom Kah is a local Warung with Indonesian, Thai and western dishes. Tom is famous amongst the expat community in Canggu, he is incredibly friendly and always welcome you with a smile. Our favourite dish is his red Thai curry with delicious spring rolls for a side or starter.
All of his food is purchased on the same day from the market, from the fresh prawns to seasonal fruit.
Tips:If you’re in the mood for something healthy, Tom does a fantastic Thai Papaya Salad.

Cibo in Berawa makes the most divine fresh pasta and a range of sauces as well as pre-made meals like their incredible lasagne that will have the whole family asking how long till dinner? They also bake on site so add an order of flavoured foccaccio, sourdough, tasty desserts and artisan gelato. Luigi’s Hot Pizza
Bubbling cheese, blackened chewy crust and authentic Italian toppings are the hallmarks of a great pizza and Luigi’s nails it with their fabulous Napoli-style pizzas. The cheeky younger brother of Da Maria serves it all up at Canggu prices and adds a few extras to swerve you in their direction. Some delicious pasta dishes like their kale pesto on home-made bucatini or a glorious vongole soaking up their home-made potato gnocchi and spiced with fermented chili.
